Share your passion for reading at the Cliffside Park Public Library Book Clubs. Fans of all literature will find a wonderful opportunity for discussion with avid bibliophiles.
Both groups are open to the public. No registration is required and we encourage you to drop in.
Created for those that prefer the enjoyment of lighter, enjoyable reading, the Book Club started on October 2022 with a reading of Tuesdays With Morrie. Discussions focus on the enjoyment of the reading, escapism, and general take-a-ways that could be applied to our daily lives.
The Book Club meets on the first Wednesday of the month, every even month at 2:00 pm.
Started in November 2022 with the inaugural The Handmaid’s Tale, the Banned Book Club takes a look at books frequently challenged and banned both within and outside of the United States. Discussions delve into the reasoning behind such bans, the messages that can be gleaned from the book, and how the novel and themes reflect in today’s world.
The Banned Book Club meets on the first Wednesday of the month, every odd month at 2:00 pm.
